Az olsenfan.de-n van egy "exklúzív interjú" a lányokkal, gondoltam, berakom:
1)Which movie do you personally like best?
A:I have great memories from every movie we have filmed. Holiday In The Sun was my favorite. We filmed the movie over the summer so Mary-Kate and I did not have to worry about school. This allowed us more time to hang out with the cast plus there were so many activities in the Bahamas. We had fun all day.
MK: When In Rome was my favorite. I love Italy so having the opportunity to spend a month in Rome was one big vacation for me even though we were working!
2)Why are you focused on girls? (Real Fashion/Real Books 4 Real Girls etc)
MK&A: The mary-kateandashley brand focuses on ideas and create products real girls can relate to. Our fashions are stylish and affordable for the real girl. Our books include stories which girls can relate to. Its important to us that girl's feel empowered and good about themselves from the inside out.
3)Is the movie New York Minute a first step to attract male audiences?
MK: New York Minute is an action comedy set in New York. We want female, male, young and old all to enjoy the movie. Our main focus is to make the movie funny for all not just a 'tween girl movie.
4)Who gives the OK for your fashion - do you decide or a special affiliate?
MK: We are very involved in the mary-kateandashley brand line. Our executive designer, Judy Swartz goes to Europe for inspiration and comes back with 5-6 trends. Ashley and I meet with her and the entire central design team and decide on 3-4 trends we want in our range per season. Our executive designer then creates drawings with suggested styles. We then give our notes to the shapes and styles we want to see and samples are created. Fabrics, buttons and trims are an important detail that we focus on. Then we present it to our major retailers buying team for their input.
5)How great is your influence on the cast / fashion that's chosen for your movies?
A:We produce our movies so we are very involved in the selection of the director, script, location, cast and fashion. We work with the director in selecting cast. Our executive designer consults with us on what overall look we want for each movie. We're influenced by European trends and have many fittings to make sure our vision is carried out just right.
6)What is a normal day in your life like?
MK: We lead very normal lives. We go to school, hang out with friends, study and clean our rooms.
A: We are involved in coordinating our schedules. Our mom and dad have always given us the power to be in control of our destiny. If our schedules get to be overwhelming we'll speak up and things will slow down.
7)What is important to you when you meet a boy? What should/shouldn't he be like?
A:I like boys who are smart, witty and real.
MK: The single most important quality in a boy to me is that he is funny.
8)Are there any new series planned for the future or will you go on making movies for cinemas and TV?
MK: Currently, we are busy producing and starring in our next feature film shooting this summer in Toronto and New York. We are also producing a made for television romantic comedy movie for ABC Family.
